Dearest One,
Here’s to showing up. To the little bit of courage we found beside our fears and the little bit of kindness. And the time and attention paid to the things that mattered most.
May we all be so clear.
Here’s to the love we filled our homes with and the hope we filled our hearts with. To the good we added to our collective voice, the expanding universe, the body of work of humankind.
May we all remember our unique contribution.
Let us raise our hearts in knowing there’s a reason we’ve come this far. And raise our hands to shake off our hang-ups. Shake it all off and bless it.
May we all find the resolve to keep going.
Here’s to new days, new attitudes, and clean slates. And the gentle resting place we find for our pasts.
Here’s to being moved as we dance of life.
May our hearts remain open and awake.
May we all find a way to bare our shining souls.
Here’s to celebration. To elevation, affirmation, calibration.
May we all reach higher, sustainably.
Here’s to youth and maturity. To innocence and experience.
Here’s to growing pains and filling up on life.
May we all be insatiable in our appetite for living.
Let us mend what’s within our reach and look beyond what we think we know. Let us see our reflection in the world and the world in our reflection.
May we all feel how far harmony can spread.
Here’s to boundaries and bridges, the expectations that honor us and the blessed release of those that don’t.
Here’s to the permission we granted ourselves, our friends, the universe. The permission that opened us up wide and that which depleted us. And to progress, whichever way it came. Thank you for the wisdom.
May we all make peace with the roads we traveled to get here.
To the power to choose, thank you.
And the power to pause, thank you.
And the power to let it all go and start again, thank you.
Let us thank the light for the guidance it gave and the dark for the grit. Thank you for showing us what we have to give.
Here’s to the soft and steady in us. The snowflakes on lashes, firefly nights, and golden morning air.
And here’s to the fiery, the mighty, the fierce in us. Here’s to our lion side and thunder voice. To the vivid red and yellows that tell the world we are here, thank you.
May we all stay so strong.
To forgiveness.
To mercy.
To imperfection.
To perspective.
To hope.
Thank you, thank you.
Let us give a toast for initiations.
A salute to our stunning debut.
A blessing of perpetual becoming.
And most of all, here’s to showing up.
Cheers,
Leslie
