It’s day two of Peace Week!
Today, I’d like to share an affirmation made up of bits and pieces from my own journal. Every morning, I spend a few minutes writing out an affirmation for the day based on something I want to nurture in my life. Lately, that’s been the peace that comes with trusting life to unfold. It isn’t always easy, but the more intention I have about choosing peace, the more freedom I feel from the usual pressures and sense of urgency.
I share this with you in hopes that these words spark a feeling of peace in you.
Affirmation for Abundant Peace
I desire peace.
Peace is possible for me.
I deserve to live in peace.
It is safe to feel peaceful.
I choose to see peace.
I choose to feel peace.
I choose to act from a place of peace.
I welcome peace into my every day.
I joyfully receive the abundant peace available to me always.
I joyfully contribute to the stream of peace that connects us all.
Try reading this out loud and notice how it feels in your body. If a particular line resonates with you, close your eyes and repeat it. Keep it in mind as you go through the day. (The thought that it’s safe to feel peaceful was a breakthrough for me!) You could also use this affirmation as a prompt for your own affirmation journaling.
If you’re looking for more peace in your life, you might also like to check out There, I Might Find Peace. I filled the pages There, I Might Find Peace with poetry and meditations for healing your heart and finding your way. These are the words from my own contemplative practice, the mantras that helped me sooth an aching heart and worried mind, and meditations that brought peace to my spirit. It tells the story of transformation from dark to light, hurting to hope, and the journey toward loving yourself.
