I see the flame in you. Do you?
Even if you tried to hold it in,
it would escape through your gleaming eye
and moonbeam laughter.
Glowing inside out,
from top of head to tips of toes,
you are radiant
and brighten this universe.
So shine on.
Others may choose not to see or shine
and carry darkness in their outstretched arms.
And you might feel the pressure to follow
when their questions and doubts seem more real
than your truth.
Trust that fear is no match
for a fire such as yours.
Yours is a wild, blazing light.
So shine on.
Like a lantern guiding travelers through the night,
so will your light guide you.
So shine on the path
that will not reveal its destination
or the certainty you crave.
Shine on the monsters lurking there.
You are not lost but on your way.
So shine on.
Like the sunlight dappled breeze
shines on a shady nook,
shine on your kindred spirits
of our Mother Earth.
Your light’s a healing hearth for weathered souls.
Shine on limp and broken wings,
frayed hearts split in two,
furrowed brows,
ringing ears,
tear-stained eyes,
and bones starving for a crumb of joy.
May your light and integrity
invite tranquility.
And when you are awakening,
mourning,
hurting,
healing,
shine on.
You are never alone but surrounded.
So shine on.
Like a supernova,
tear down the walls worth busting through.
March through the wide open corridor
illuminated by defeat.
Your lifted head and heart will find possibilities
hidden in failure.
Shine on your own faults and flaws.
You are not fallen but rising.
So shine on.
And when you are victorious,
shine on in all your glory and excellence.
With a grateful heart, greet cheering fans,
and with compassion, forgive those who can’t
summon the joy for another’s triumph.
Shine on for all the world to see.
Firecrackers were never meant to be silent.
So shine on.
Shine on to the open sky,
through the cosmos and back
to infinity.
Have a light inside of you burning to get out (annnnd you just don’t know what it is yet)? I made this for you:
